This 1878 neoclassical building, originally serving as a royal palace and governmental residence, offers a prominent exterior for period filming. The structure features ochre-toned masonry, an elevated stone staircase leading to a grand arched entrance, and intricate architectural detailing including decorative pediments and arched window bays. The facade provides a regal, institutional backdrop suitable for historical dramas or high-end contemporary scenes.
Inside, the property houses the former royal ballroom, which contains original hardwood flooring and chandeliers. The interior walls and ceiling are accented with 23-carat gold plating, providing a rich, textured environment for production design. The combination of its ornate historical interiors and its city-center location makes the building a functional option for productions requiring distinct period authenticity. The exterior is situated on a wide, accessible street, facilitating logistical operations in the heart of the capital.
