This multi-level subterranean merchant network features wide chambers, low vaulted ceilings, and interconnecting corridors built from rough red bricks. The flooring consists of matching brick pavers, and walls display recessed niches, instructional plaques, and white plaster accents framing doorways. A cylindrical brick ventilation shaft with decorative wrought-iron railing sits in a central chamber, while a tight stone spiral staircase with a central handrail descends into deeper levels.
Illumination comes from overhead utility fixtures casting warm orange light, creating deep shadows along the textured masonry surfaces and arched entryways. The enclosed environment feels heavy, damp, and isolated, with echoes carrying through the narrow passageways.
Sound and lighting gear must be compact to navigate the low ceilings and narrow stairwells.
